How do I handle a barking dog complaint?
Contact Animal Services Dispatch at (850) 248-6034 to report violations of the Noise Ordinance No. 13-34, Ch. 4 Section 302. Once the investigating Officer has received at least two unrelated adult witnesses from different residences, a sworn affidavit attesting to the committing of a nuisance pursuant to such Section or subsection, or the citing Officer has witnessed the commission of such a nuisance. Affidavits attesting to the nuisance must come from residents within a three-block radius (approximately 900-foot radius).

I have found an animal, what should I do?
If you would like to hold the animal, call the shelter to fill out a missing animal report. If you wish the animal picked up, call Animal Services dispatch at 248-6034.
Is there a fee to use a county trap?
There is a $50.00 refundable deposit for dog traps and a $35.00 refundable deposit for cat traps. Trap deposits are refundable upon return of trap within 7 day period.
What is the fee to have my animal euthanized?
The euthanasia fee is $30.00 and you have to bring the animal to the shelter. Private cremation services are available for $30.00 with an additional $10.00 charge for return of ashes.
What information should I have when calling to report a dog running loose?
You should have a description of the animal(s), what they are currently doing, what direction they are heading, any collars or tags, location of the owners.
