For those interested in the Deepwater Horizon (DwH) disaster recovery efforts in the Gulf of Mexico, the Environmental Law Institute prepped this overview of the Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) process. NRDA is one of three main funding sources for DwH recovery - the RESTORE Act and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Gulf Environmental Benefit Fund (GEBF) are the other two.
This paper, intended for the general public, explains some of the tools and mechanisms to help coordinate between these three restoration funding sources.
