Description:
The Bay County Public Library (BCPL) building sustained considerable damage as a result of Hurricane Michael. The Bay County Board of County Commissioners (County) seeks bids from qualified contractors to perform permanent interior and exterior repairs to the BCPL building located at 898 West 11th Street, Panama City, FL 32401. Work shall be performed in accordance with Exhibit 2 Scope of Work.

MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING
A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 am (CDT) Wednesday, September 11, 2019 in the Purchasing Department Conference Room, 840 W. 11th Street, Panama City, FL 32401. A site visit to the BCPL will be held immediately following the Pre-Bid Meeting.

BID DEADLINE/DELIVERY

SEALED BIDS for ITB NO: 19-91 Bay County Public Library Post Storm Building Repairs Re-Advertisement will be received by the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BAY COUNTY, FLORIDA at the Purchasing Department 840 W. 11th Street, Suite 2500, Panama City, FL 32401 up until 2:00 pm (CDT) Wednesday, September 25, 2019. Bids will be publicly opened immediately following the deadline. Each bid shall be valid to Bay County for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid opening.

Bids shall be delivered to the Board of County Commissioners Purchasing Department, at 840 W. 11th Street, Suite 2500, Panama City, Florida 32401, no later than the bid deadline. Bidders should submit one (1) original labeled “Original” and one (1) copy labeled “Copy” of the bid package. Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the title of the work, the name of the bidder and the date for opening. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure that the bid is received on time. The County will check the bids and notify the selected bidder at the earliest opportunity. Each bid shall be valid to Bay County for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid opening.

The County Purchasing Department will be the only point of contact for this ITB. Under no circumstances may a bidder contact any County Commissioner, County Administrator, or County employee concerning this ITB until after award. Any such contact may result in disqualification as per Bay County Code Section 2-124.

Bidders shall submit all questions, in writing, to the Purchasing Department at Purchasing@baycountyfl.gov or FAX to (850) 248-8276. All questions shall be submitted no later than 5:00 pm (central time) on Monday, September 16, 2019.
