Bay County Parks and Recreation invites the community to enjoy a month of live music, local food trucks, and family fun during the new Concerts in the Park series, highlighting three county parks throughout October. Each Saturday evening music event, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., is free to the public and designed to bring residents together while also showcasing the beauty and amenities of Bay County’s parks.
Isaac Byrd Park – Oct. 4
The series opens at Isaac Byrd Park with a performance by Tracy Mick. Guests can enjoy food available for purchase from Tri-R-Tips Hawaiian Style BBQ, Ledbetter Food Truck, Kona ICE, and PCB Pirate Coffee. Restroom facilities will be provided by Parrish Portable Toilets, including an eight-stall restroom trailer and a handicap-accessible unit.
Simmons Park – Oct. 11
The music continues the following weekend at Simmons Park, where the Grace and Grit Band will take the stage. Food trucks on site will include Ledbetter Food Truck, Kona ICE, Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck, Grandma D’s Kettle Korn, and Back Porch BBQ. Parrish Portable Toilets will provide a 10-stall trailer, and the park’s permanent handicap-accessible restrooms will also be available.
H.G. Harder’s Park Fall Festival – Oct. 18
The series concludes with Bay County’s beloved Fall Festival at H.G. Harder’s Park, featuring the Greenhead Band in concert from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The festival runs from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with activities for all ages, including a maze, pumpkin patch, face painting, a children’s costume contest, and inflatables. Food vendors include Tri-R-Tips Hawaiian Style BBQ, Kona ICE, Grandma D’s Kettle Korn, and Smokin' Butts BBQ. Restroom facilities will be provided by Parrish Portable Toilets, alongside the park’s permanent handicap-accessible restrooms.
“This series was created to showcase our parks while giving families a reason to come out and enjoy them together,” Bay County Commissioner Daniel Raffield, who first proposed the Fall Concert Series, said. “Music, food, and community go hand in hand, and I’m excited to see our parks come alive with energy and entertainment this October.”
