INTRODUCTION
The Bay County Board of County Commissioners (County) seeks bids from qualified contractors to replace various pump and motors at the Military Point Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility. Work shall include but is not limited to all labor and materials needed to remove and replace the existing pumps and motors and perform a startup of the supplied motors and pumps meeting manufacturer requirements to maintain the factory warranty. A three year warranty on all material, equipment and workmanship is required. All pumps and motors shall be supplied and installed no later than September 1, 2022. U.S. Electric Motors, GE or approved equal manufacturer of the following totally enclosed fan cooled, inverter rated motors. Pumps shall be Fairbanks Morse, Simflo, Flowserve or an approved equal with a mechanical seal.
The project may be reimbursed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as part of Disaster Recovery from Hurricane Michael FEMA Project No. DR-4399. It is imperative that Respondents examine and become familiar with the Public Assistance Program established by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Funding for the project may be made possible through this grant and is contingent on strict conformance to the guidelines set forth by Florida Department of Emergency Management (FDEM) and FEMA. Respondents will comply with the Federal Regulations Contract Requirements shown at Exhibit 4.
BID DEADLINE/DELIVERY
ELECTRONIC/SEALED BIDS for ITB NO: 22-21 Military Point Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility Pumps and Motors Replacement Project will be received by the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BAY COUNTY, FLORIDA at the Purchasing Department 840 W. 11th Street, Suite 2500, Panama City, FL 32401 up until 2:00 pm (CST) Thursday, January 20, 2022. Bids will be publicly opened immediately following the deadline. Each bid shall be valid to Bay County for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid opening. The County will check the bids and notify the selected bidder at the earliest opportunity.
Bids for this solicitation will be accepted electronically online through Bonfire until 2:00 p.m. (CST) on the bid date.
SEALED PAPER Bids shall be delivered to the Board of County Commissioners Purchasing Department, at 840 W. 11th Street, Suite 2500, Panama City, Florida 32401, no later than the bid deadline. Bidders should submit one (1) original bid package. Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the title of the work, the name of the bidder and the date for opening. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure that the bid is received on time. ANY BID RECEIVED AFTER THE SPECIFIED TIME WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
All bids will be available for inspection upon notice of award or 30 days after bid opening, whichever is earlier.
