Bay County to host Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony

Home Posted on October 20, 2025

The Bay County Board of County Commissioners, in partnership with the Bay County Veterans Council, will host Bay County’s annual Veterans Day Parade beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in Panama City.

This year’s event carries special significance as the nation commemorates the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.

The parade will follow its traditional route, beginning at Frankford Avenue and 12th Street in St. Andrews and traveling east along 11th Street to the Bay County Government Center, located at 840 W. 11th St.

Following the parade, a wreath-laying ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. at the Government Center’s main entrance. The ceremony will include patriotic music performed by the Bay High School Choir and remarks from a special guest speaker from the community.

“These events serve as a heartfelt tribute to the men and women who have proudly worn our nation’s uniform,” said Commission Chairman Doug Moore. “We invite the entire community to come together to honor those who have served and to show our gratitude to the service members who continue to protect our freedoms today.”

For more information or to learn how to participate in the parade, please call Veterans Services at (850) 248-8280.
