Under the Florida Constitution, the Clerk of the Court serves as the Ex-Officio Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, with a primary responsibility to record and index the official minutes of Board meetings. Each meeting is electronically recorded by the Clerk’s Office to ensure an accurate and complete account, and audio recordings are made available to the public the following morning for listening or purchase. As an independent, elected official, the Clerk’s role in managing these records helps ensure the transparency and integrity of the meeting minutes.
