Contractor Licensing

Competency Card renewals (State Registered Contractors) for FY2025-2026 will begin on September 1st through September 30th.  To renew please complete the L02 form and email it with updated documents required (general liability, workers compensation, qualifier’s ID and letter of authorization). Your Competency Card fees will be available to pay through the online web portal here: Bay County Portal after the registration documents have been received and processed.

ONLY CERTIFIED CONTRACTORS & FLORIDA LICENSED CONTRACTORS 

MAY PERFORM WORK IN BAY COUNTY


To register with Bay County:

  • Fill out registration form and email to the Contractor Licensing Team
  • Contractor Licensing Team Email: contractorlicensing@baycountyfl.gov 
    • Donna Newell
    • Charlie McDermott
  • Include workers comp insurance or exemption and general liability with Bay County listed as the certificate holder.
  • Copy of your Florida State License.
  • Authorization form if you are allowing anyone other than the license holder to pull permits.
