Thank you for your interest in joining Bay County Emergency Services. We are proud to be a dynamic and dedicated team committed to serving our community with excellence. Our department encompasses three key divisions, each playing a critical role in our mission:
1. Bay County Fire/Rescue: Our firefighter professionals provide emergency response and protection to structure and wildland fires in the rural and suburban unincorporated areas of Bay County as well as provide mutual aid to municipal fire departments. Bay County also provides Advanced Life Support (ALS) care on scenes of medical and traumatic emergencies throughout all of Bay County. ALS care is rendered via several methods to include, ambulances, quick response vehicles and fire apparatuses.
2. Bay County Emergency Communications (911): Our skilled 911 operators are the first line of support in emergencies, managing critical communication from Bay County's 24 hour Communications Center. Their role is essential in coordinating timely and effective responses to emergencies.
3. Bay County Emergency Management: This division is responsible for performing technical work in the development, implementation, and management of countywide disaster prevention, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation activities. In addition, staff manages and coordinates Bay County's Emergency Operations Center during times of emergency.
